PRE PLANNING

Purchasing a memorial is a unique experience that reflects the life of someone special. There are many things you should know before you make a purchase. As a family owned and operated business, we understand how important it is to help you honor your loved one. We remain committed to providing the highest quality memorial products and services at fair and reasonable prices.

1 Location

Before you purchase a memorial, you should know that many cemeteries have restrictions that limit the style, size, and shape of the monument you may place in their cemetery. Some cemeteries have restrictions depending on the section in the cemetery. It’s important to know what those limitations are before we begin. We would be happy to help you find out your cemetery’s requirements.

2 Type

When planning a memorial, the type should be considered early in the planning process. Types range from a large family monument, to a double or single memorial. Maybe you are looking for a remembrance memorial to be placed in a park or a special place.

3 Style

Monuments come in a wide variety of styles, shapes and sizes.

Bevel Markers are above ground level but are low to the ground.

Grass markers or flat markers lie level with the ground and consist of either granite or bronze.

Slant Markers are midway in height between lower bevel markers and larger upright monuments. If you prefer the slanted shape but want it to set up taller, a base can be placed underneath to add height like the upright memorials.

Upright Memorials are typically a vertical or horizontal tablet and set on a base. These memorials are constructed with at least two pieces of erect granite; they can be created in all shapes and sizes. A vertical tablet, as the name implies, is taller than it is wide, and a horizontal tablet is wider than it is tall.

4 Color

Select the color that most appeals to you. Granite is the most commonly used material and is available in numerous colors-traditional grays, blacks, a variety of reds, pinks, browns, greens, and blues. We import granite from all over the world and have a large selection of colors available for you to choose from. Price varies depending on the color of granite.

5 Design

Whether you are interested in a traditional carving or a custom etching we have many options for you to choose from. You can work with our onsite artist and graphic designers to personalize a tribute for you and your loved ones.

The best way to answer these questions is to visit our showroom and let one of our designers guide you through the process.
